Updates for May 2017

May: Easter Sunday is April 16, 2017, so in 2017 most Easter egg hunts will be held on Saturday April 8, 2017 and some on Saturday April 15, 2017. ALWAYS click the links to check date and time with the event's own website, as there are often last minute changes due to weather or logistical problems, just click on the link to the event's website and (in most cases), you want to click on the "events" link or "calendar" link on their website. Or use their site search for "Easter". Do let them know you found them here, so they will update us next year.  Since many egg hunts do not publish the current year's dates until the very last minute, we may not get their current information, which is why we have links to their websites, facebook pages and calendars. See their events calendar. There are also Easter breakfasts and brunches and Easter parades to watch!

And if you are looking for local children's consignment sales, also often held by churches, click here!

  • Fayetteville Egg Drop - helicopter egg drop
Washington County Fairgrounds, 2536 N. McConnell Ave, Fayetteville, AR.  Email: info@pathwaybaptist.com. Event date and time: We're Taking a Break for 2016: We want to thank the crowd of over 4,000 people who attended our 4th annual egg drop in 2015. The increased eggs, magic shows, more inflatables, carnival games, helicopter rides, fencing around the fields, and more concession vendors all added up to a great event. Because the available dates for 2016 would fall on Spring Break, it would make it next to impossible for us to host a well-run event. That along with the financial commitment it takes to put everything together, we've decided to take a break in 2016. If we decide to host the Fayetteville Egg Drop in the future we will first need to secure additional financial sponsors and recruit more outside volunteers. But for 2016 we've decided to focus our community service efforts into other local projects, primarily ones that don't fall on Spring Break when many of our volunteer families are traveling. Check back Spring 2017 for an update on the Fayetteville Egg Drop.. (UPDATED: March 17, 2016, JBS) (ADDED: April 18, 2014, from their website)
